I'm a geek. Plain and simple. So when my brother-in-law Adam told me his iPod Touch didn't sync with his computer I had to take a look.

Long story short, the wrong driver was installed. For some reason the computer thought the iPod was a digital camera. So I forced the right driver to load and presto, it worked.

After a couple of hours the entire collection was transferred. After some additional setup the thing connects to WiFi, and that is how I am bringing this post to you today. Took me a good 10 minutes to type, though...

Can you tell? I call this theme "Green CRT." You remember what those are, I just know it ... do you think it fits?

Big update now, since I haven't updated for months.

Julie and I are both using Nokia 6100 Navigators. Hers is pink, and mine has a black front and white back. They're great phones, and T-Mobile thinks we're using the old Nokia 6190s. The only downside is that we can't download ringtones to them ... no biggie, Bluetooth is my friend.

Julie's working at a different hospital now, but kept herself on the old hospital's payroll as flex.

I hit a monstrous pothole in February and screwed up both driver's side wheels on my RAV4. Insurance took care of it, and I'm in the process of filing a claim with IDOT. Thankfully, there was no damage beyond wheels and tires -- with my luck I thought the suspension and/or frame would be damaged as well.

It is not that incident, though, that is leading my wandering eye to other vehicles. I have decided that I will be buying a Civic Hybrid in the next few months to replace the RAV4 -- city driving is killing my mileage and, in this day of $3.50/gallon gas, I'd love to be able to forget which side my gas tank is on. Yeah yeah, all you Euros who pay that much per liter can kiss my ass.

Formula 1 season is starting right now, quite literally. The cars are lining up on the grid in Melbourne as I type this. I'm excited to see the result of the rule changes; practice was interesting to watch with the cars sliding around everywhere, and the front two rows look pretty interesting.

So ... now that I have this site working again, I can post. Good times.
