Team America = funny
Monday, 25 October, 2004, 02:00
One week until Halloween. Win. Also, Team America: World Police is bloody hilarious. People looking for serious material in this movie should sod off. The whole Film Actors' Guild thing is excellent, Matt Damon's character is executed flawlessly, the songs are brilliant, and the puppetsex scene is pure comedy platinum.

I'm hella gassy at the moment, so I guess I should call it a night, seeing how I'm practically suffocating myself in here ...

The Grudge
Sunday, 24 October, 2004, 05:30
So I saw Grudge today. It was pretty good ... I don't get scared at horror movies, though. I mean, I laughed at The Exorcist, which was probably the best horror movie of all time. There was one moment that I jumped at, though, mainly because I didn't expect it at all, and that was when Sarah Michelle Gellar was looking out the bus's window and saw the anorexic dead Japanese lady's face instead of her reflection. Other than that ... well, it got a rise out of the crowd, and I enjoyed my lemon-lime slushie.

I'm hoping to see the puppet movie tomorrow. I don't give a rat's ass if there are political connotations, I don't care if they bash either candidate, I want comedy. Since I'm a bit of a South Park nerd I guess I'll enjoy it ... I mean, Kim Jong Il saying "you're breaking my balls" is most certainly noteworthy. Besides, political commentary ruins anything. Seriously, I was at a Disturbed concert with Julie once and David Draiman just started babbling about fictitious wars (y helo thar Michael Moore). That just killed the whole show for me. I lost major amounts of respect for the guy. Yeah, ol' Dave does have a pretty spiffy voice and all, but when you start using the musical stage as your political soapbox, I begin to dislike you. Last night's show had none of that stuff, which is why I haven't become annoyed with hardcore yet. I don't think I've seen one something-core band start beating the proverbial podium about political issues; it's always about family, friends, life, love, letting out your aggression in a positive manner, and having a good time. That's what I want to do at concerts. Is that too much to ask? Hell, even when Mudvayne started proclaiming their support for the President and his decisions, I started getting a little cheesed off ... it's not just liberals that annoy me, conservatives also grate on me when their opinions are not requested. Yes, I understand you're roll-models (I guess) and you have the attention of hundreds (or thousands) of people, but don't go into politics, dumbasses!

That being said, I don't think I will ever post anything (though I may have previously) political on this website, no matter how close election day is. Screw that. I'm maintaining this site so it doesn't become dead in the water like it did last year, not to draw the attention (both positive and negative) of political groups.

Good night, everybody.

The Dropped Deuce
Saturday, 23 October, 2004, 04:30
Mail form is now pretty. Very, very simplistic in my opinion, but this whole page is pretty damn simple so it's all good.

Show was great. I didn't quite feel the first band Suicide Note ... not much more I could do than just stand there while they played their set. Between the Buried and Me was awesome, they're hella talented. Cave In ... well, they kind of sounded out of place, and the lead guitarist/vocalist just looked bored. Converge put on a great show, they kind of reminded me (not too much) of Norma Jean. I did a little dance for Julie.

And with that, I go to bed. I can't hear much, I'm tired, and I have to go to work tomorrow.

I have ESP ... N ...
Friday, 22 October, 2004, 22:15
Hey, guess what ... I can see the future! No, really! I can also read papers that are inside desks using my super-duper x-ray vision! No, really! The only difference between myself and Superman is that I can't fly! I was going to make a Christopher Reeve joke here, but I figured I shouldn't ... oh what the hell, there's another difference between me and Superman, in that I am ALIVE and I can WALK.

There's a show coming up tonight, with Between the Buried and Me. That's gonna rawk. Jeff was gonna bring the lady who is the target of his affections, but she has to work, so he's a sad panda. More on that later.

So I took some pics of me in my costume. They're 800x600. There are three: one, two, three. I'm gonna get back to work now, seeing how I'm at work and all ...
