Quick update
Monday, 8 November, 2004, 04:00
I've updated the ATI Catalyst driver download on my Files page to version 4.10. It has been stuck at 4.8 since ... well, whenever those were new. Firefox is still at 0.9.3, though, and I don't think I'll update that until Firefox 1.0 officially comes out. That should be soon.

Speaking of soon, has anyone heard anything about Seagate's 500GB 7200.8 hard drives? I suddenly have this want ... I want four of them, which I will divide up into two mirrored sets. Nothing like 1,000GB of storage to make a geek happy. That, and I'm getting somewhat close to filling up my two 120GB drives ...

This was a pretty boring Sunday, if you ask me ... I've been working on school work all day. Haven't taken my car in for an oil change yet. I think I'll take it in on Tuesday, since I won't be doing any stop-and-go driving (which no engine likes, I guess) until then.

Slayer update
Saturday, 6 November, 2004, 06:21
Okay, so I only knew four of the songs Slayer played. Big whoop. The last 3 ... those made the show: Angel of Death, Postmortem, and Raining Blood. The rest was boring. Jeff was practically falling asleep standing up, it was hilarious.

After that, pancakes at Denny's. Mmmmm ... pancakes. Metal followed by pancakes ... the pancakes taste so much better after metal. Pity I couldn't find that DMB shirt, I settled for a Nonpoint shirt instead. Rule Number One: NEVER wear a T-shirt with the name of ANY band that is performing at the show you go to. If you buy a concert shirt, buy it after the show.

So this is the second time this year that I have seen Killswitch Engage (first time was at the Vic), and the second time this year I've seen Mastodon (first time was at the Metro). There's still a bit of a list of who I want to see ... like Bleeding Through, The Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying (caught them opening for Killswitch Engage at the Vic, but they were halfway done with their last song), Norma Jean (yeah, saw them already, but they were awesome), Vital Remains and, most importantly, Cake.

So, with that, I shall now go to sleep ... because it just turned November 6th 21 minutes ago and I have to work later today :-p

4 Years, 8 Months Edition
Thursday, 4 November, 2004, 23:00
That's the amount of time Julie and I have been going out. Much <3 for teh Julinator :-)

I started playing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas today. Haven't gotten too far yet ... I'm still trying to get the hang of the fact that my character has to eat. I found a fried chicken joint in the game too, that's a laugh :-) Looks pretty sweet on the projector, but my current screen leaves lots to be desired. Perhaps I should buy another screen ... perhaps, later.

Tomorrow, I'm going with Jeff to see SLAYER. Killswitch Engage and Mastodon are opening, and it shall be the second time this year I see both of those bands. First time for Slayer, though. I may actually have to get my hands on a Dave Matthews Band T-shirt (*shudder*) before I go to the show, though. That would prove entertaining.

The VR project ... I should make a page for that. It looks really sweet. The colors pulsate to the beat. It's awesome.

Abbreviated Election Musing
Thursday, 4 November, 2004, 19:00
Elections are hella fun. They have more suspense than M. Night Shyamalan's movies!

Other news ... my computer is still devoid of spyware. Looks like my hissy fit yesterday closed whatever gaps I had open on my computer.
