Back from the show
Thursday, 9 December, 2004, 06:15
Just found out Dimebag Darrell is dead ... sad news indeed.

In other news, Cradle of Filth sucks. I mean, seriously, does it really take a band an hour to set up?

In still other news, The Rave sucks. This is the first time I have actually seen security guards break up a mosh pit. They wouldn't even let the hardcore kids dance. Screw that venue.

That's it ... bed.

Last final is near
Wednesday, 8 December, 2004, 19:53
I should have a bit more faith in The Rave ... Bleeding Through is up third! You know what this means? BLEEDING THROUGH TONIGHT, W000000000T!

I'm leaving Chicago, as I said in the earlier post, at 5:30 ... I wonder when I'll get up to Gurnee.

Furthermore, visit www.santamosh.com for a good laugh ... Santa hardcore dances! I haven't heard the audio because I'm at school and these computers don't have speakers.

That's about it for now ... just a short update. An hour and a half to go until my VR final ...

Finished my VR final
Wednesday, 8 December, 2004, 16:50
First final is done. No more microeconomics, w00t! VR exam is today, though ... don't think I'll be able to make it up to Milwaukee, seeing how the show starts at 7:30 and the final's over at 5:30. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but Chicago has the absolute crappiest traffic in the world between the hours of 5 and 6. It'll take me an hour to get from UIC to the Edens. So, unfortunately, no Bleeding Through for me, unless my car suddenly sprouts wings and a rocket engine.

On the other hand, Between the Buried and Me is performing at the Bottom Lounge again ... that sounds like a winning proposition.

Now I have to do a final proofread of my VR take-home final ... expect more frequent updates over break ;-)

Finals week begins
Monday, 6 December, 2004, 14:42
So the site was down yesterday ... server's running to OpenBSD 3.6 now. w00t.

Finals week begins today. I have two exams: one tomorrow and one on Wednesday. I'm hoping I can make it up to Milwaukee after my second exam to see Bleeding Through. That would be one hell of a way to end finals week. Of course, come Thursday I'll be installing these new hard drives in my system. That's 320 more gigabytes of storage for me, w00t!

The Accounting case study is done. It's due tomorrow by midnight, but I'll probably submit it first thing in the morning so I can have a clear head for my Micro final.

Also, BreakoutVR Version 1.0 is done! Head over here to check out the somewhat official website. There are, of course, a couple movies for your watching pleasure: I play the game in movie 1, and Don plays the game in movie 2. I don't know if I have footage of Dmitri playing the game, but I do know that I have a total of two hours of tape to go through to see what other kind of footage I can post.

We plan on working on BreakoutVR and a bunch of other things, eventually culminating in a really, really cool Version 2.0. I think this is what the missing tab up there that used to be occupied by "project_w" will be ... an official BreakoutVR page.

Brain-dead
Saturday, 4 December, 2004, 01:45
In the words of the soon to be world-famous Don, something's wonky. My brain's not working. Freaking perfect. I have to work on finals and stuff ... there's a final case study due for accounting, there's a take-home final for CS528, and an actual in-class final for Microeconomics. Whee. I actually thought it was Thursday today, though, and got kinda pissed when I found out it was Friday. I'm going to get to work ... more updates will come when the semester's over.
